Airport Brno (BRQ, 0.5 million passengers a year) - has direct connections to:
From airport to Brno:
From 05:30 till 22:30 you can use the direct bus line No.76. It departs accurately every 30 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes via the Main Bus Station (it stops near the tram terminus) and continues directly to the terminus at the Airport Brno.

From 23:00 till 05:00 you can use the night bus No.89. It departs every 30 or 60 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes directly to the terminus at the Airport Brno.

The travel time from the centre to the airport is in both cases about 20 minutes. For one journey you need the 2-zones ticket valid for 60 minutes. It costs 25 CZK for adults.You can buy tickets at newsstand (Airport Shop) and coin-op vending machine at the arrival hall.

You may also consider Airport Prague (PRG), Airport Bratislava (BTS) or Airport Vienna (VIE) as destination airport and go by bus or train to Brno. Check for flights

Brno has good train connections to several european cities and train is the fastest and most convenient transportation between big cities in the region.

By Bus

Brno is part of the European bus network and all connections and their prices are similar to trains. Student Agency and Eurolines provide buses to many european cities.
Most buses of Eurolines arrives Brno-Zvonarka.

By Car

Brno is well-connected to other cities by highway. You can get easily to neighboring countries by car. For using the czech highways you have to pay toll (price 350 CZK/15 € for a 10 days badge, you will get them on each gas station).Travel time examples: Parking lots are available right on the university campus where the conference will take place.

Local Transport

The public transport in Brno is done from DPMB which maintains 13 tramline, 13 trolley-busline and 37 busline. In the night the public transport is done from 11 nightbuslines.
If you want to use public transport, buy tickets only for 100+101 zones!
If you're staying in Brno for several days, consider buying a 5-day ticket which costs CZK 250.
There are several places where you can buy it, but the best one for you is probably the main railway station, where you can buy it at any counter (look for the international ones because they more likely speak English).

From Main Railway Station to Venue

From Main railway station take tram No.1 (towards Řečkovice). Get off the tram on 5th stop - Hrnčířská (after apx 10minutes). Take the street on the left - Hrnčířská - up and after apx 300 meters the building on your right hand is the University.

From Main Bus Station to Venue

From Main bus station (Zvonařka) take bus No.60, get off on second stop - Nové Sady (apx 2minutes). Take tram No.1 towards Řečkovice. After two stops you are on the Main railway station, follow instructions above.
